Pull Em' Up!!

The Government is getting a bit to comfortable with thier power! I've been hearing through the grape vine that law enforcement is going to start giving out tickets to dudes wearing baggy pants. Do you think the government should be allowed to keep someone from wearing something others may find offensive? Now I, myself is not a fan of a man with baggy pants on, but who the hell am I to say what they shouldnt wear. I cant stand ladies who have panty lines showing through thier pants but I have to deal with it or chunky girls wearing baby tee's LOL but hell I cant tell them to change. The argument with the issue is "indecent exposure" and "Is Hip Hop Responsible" The debate is gaining attention across the country: Should baggy pants be banned? Twelve states have taken action and created ordinances — some with $500 fines and jail time — Shit if Blacks never voted a day in thier lives they'll dam sure vote on no fines for baggy pants! LOL ... My personal opinion; I think they are unfairly targeting African-Americans because its a style worn mostly in the black community. Also Hip Hop shouldn't be the blame because this didnt start when hip hop came about this has been going on for forever! Hip Hop has major influence on the community but so does television shows and the actions that are going on in our enviornment. Issues from the war in Iraq, discontent with parenting, to people in the hood without heat. Why is Hip Hop always to blame? I believe that hip hop is an expression of thoughts and experiences. Let me know what you guys think!

Talk Dat Ish Radio Show

TALK DAT ISH RADIO~Hey about a week ago I came to realize that I needed something else exciting in my life to keep me occupied and on my A-game so I gave my good friend Tionna Smalls a call just to ask her whats new and does she know of anything I can get my hands on. The author of the book “Gurl Get Ya Mind Right” and CEO of Talk Dat Ish Entertainment of course named a few projects I could do. One of the best one’s I heard was to join her in the effort of Talk Dat Ish radio on www.blogtalkradio.com/talkdatish as well as other projects she’ll be working on. I loved the idea of it because she’s on and popping and she putting another woman on as well. After speaking with her and sitting in on one of the radio show I got to e on the show as a co-host yesterday. It was a good experience. I was nervous but I pulled through and Ms. Smalls liked it so I‘m looking forward to doing it again!

HEAVENS FALLOUT

It's always a pleasure to Interview Mickey Factz and this is the 3rd mixtape! I'll let him introduce himself, his signature introduction "I'm the ruler of the universe" "The Hip-Hop Savior." You can download the mixtape by clicking the above photo, and to find out about the man behind the mixtape just continue reading.

Luv Lern Bank: What was the process of creating this album?

MickeyFactz: I was in a creative mood. I was totally inspired by different genre's and other aspects of life. I just wanted to create something that nobody has done. Something that would be like a party to your ears. A red carpet event for regular people.

Luv Lern Bank : Was there a different method used for this album opposed to the last 2

MickeyFactz: The first album, In search of the N.E.R.D. was basically playing off of alot of pharrell's hooks. I took the creativity lightly on that. Flashback Vol. 1 was the same way. But we just changed the beats. This was totally different. I had my own ideas, my own hooks, I had different flows, different topics. It was a great process. It only took me 3 months to do it too.

Luv Lern Bank: Ok did u have a goal for the downloads such as how many u definitely needed to get.

MickeyFactz: I don't have a general goal. I just wanna see how big the fan base can get by giving away free music. As well as getting more people accessible to the music. I need to make a living but that all comes with sacrifice. So I'm just excited on giving it away for free. More people gravitate towards things that are free.

LuvLernBank: What was the theme for heavens fallout. What exactly did u have in mind while creating this project and what did u give ya fans on this album that u didnt give them on the last two.

MickeyFactz: The theme for Heavens Fallout was to create a new genre of Hip Hop and make that my sound. I had in mind to make people turn their ears to something refreshing instead of the constant boom bap that their accustomed to. What I gave fans was my growth. I talked about soooooo many different things as well as switching up the flow.

Luv Lern Bank: Umm elaborate on the genre of hip hop u talking bout and whats refreshing about ya sound?

MickeyFactz: Its global music. Music that is universal. It could be played in the hood, at a classy event, a rock event, a rave party... I want my music to be everywhere. I want it to touch everyone. My sound is going to be my sound and people will follow it.

Luv Lern Bank: What was the production like and who produced it

MickeyFactz: The production and ideas for this mixtape was a collective of everybody in GFC. Their were minimal features from Nakim, Precize and Whytebone.

Luv Lern Bank: Whats ya favorite track and why?

MickeyFactz: "Breathe" is my favorite track because its so real. its so relevant to life in itself. it has some of the strongest words I've ever written, along with Jacobs Ladder.

LuvLernBank: Why was there such a delay with the album? It was set to come out the same day as the Kanye West and 50cents album and then on Halloween

MickeyFactz: We wanted it to sound great. it didnt sound good enough for my fans. So i had to tweak it and add extra songs.

LuvLernBank: What do you feel was the sickest line you said on the album, matter of fact Im going to let you pick two cause I'm sure you have a lot.

MickeyFactz: I'd have to say on "Vietnam" when I said "everybodys a rapper I feel like waldo with a rugby on and on "Smack My Bitch Up" when I said "Your pissed cause Im a 10 and urinate."

LuvLernBank: LOL that was ill I like that line! Okay now that the big Heavens Fallout album is out what is next for you and the GFC crew?

MickeyFactz: I have a show this Thursday 11/15/2007 at "Crash" mansion, $5 entry if you say my name "MickeyFactz". The Laced Magazine is coming out in December we have a collabo coming with the supra sneakers, parties and other great things. I also have my EP which is dropping next year as well as some other surprises.

LuvLernBank: Last question when the last album dropped "Flashback Vol. 1" you said that there was a clue embedded in the album cover that would reveal the theme/title of the next album what was it?

MickeyFactz: HaHa The secrect was a fallen angle, kneeling between two pillars of stones. Hot right?

LuvLernBank: YEAH!! Rhonesha and I were curious the whole time what the secret was and could not find the clue well we finally know!!! How Cute

Ok people there you have it the latest interview with Mickey Factz with his new album HEAVENS FALLOUT go download it at http://www.gfcny.com/

A Hot Ghetto Mess

Yo this show is too funny "A Hot Ghetto Mess" the show is about Black people & the dumb shit we do. Its a rendition of the Chapell's Show put more real because they use real people. Its controversial because it makes fun of African Americans. Its funny and its sooo true and that what makes it a hit!! Its not joke either so it not like the host Charlie Murphy is just making jokes this is real life shit that people do. Who to blame but ourselves (wtf) for that one. But the show is funny and makes you want to get "ya mind right" with the African American news

My Spelling My ego & A new Word

Okay so this is really wierd and random ... anyone who knows me knows that I cant spell for shit(smh) im saying that like its ok right .... SO while writing a text to Mickey I wanted to use the word halarious cause yall know Mickey smart ass stay with the extra SAT words! Therefore I felt the need to use another word for funny (besides lmao) the treo palm usually finishes words for you but just my luck it didnt finish the word i needed (yall keeping up) so my lil brother who is 11yrs old happened to be in the room and since he a lil smart ass (just like Mickey) I asked if he could spell it for me. So he spells it H.A.L.A.R.I.O.U.S (the punch line aint even here yet) Now I swore up and down that it was spelled H.I.L.I.R.I.O.U.S anyway I finished the text and kept it moving. The next day this spelling shit was getting out of control I couldnt believe that my little brother was spelling words that I couldnt. This bothered me so dag on much that I went in the archives and found the largest dictionary known to man (i swear it is) and looked up the word. To my surprise I was right it is spelled H.I.L.I.R.I.O.U.S so yall know I had to blast my little brother like *AAA HAAA* You spelled it wrong and let him know that I spelled it right (he didnt even care) but it was my ego that i had to attend to that I couldnt spell that word and my little brother could ... So now im reading the definition and the word FARCICAL comes across which is the same meaning of hilirious basically ... yea that story was random but now yall know i cant speel and learned a new word farcical!!

oh and i ment to write (speel) lol yall was about to be like Bytch you still cant spell lol

RAW 8 Fashion Show

Thanks to that non paying (but i love it) Internship I went to this fashion show for the new clothing line called RAW 8 which was really fly!! The theme of the show was sleek, very lady like dresses and ish, modern fashion with simple techno music, I dont know if that makes since but that the best I can explain it.

It was on the roof top of a building and the set up was crazy!! The Loft (if i should call it that) was very large and had different parts and rooms to it, then a large back area where you could look up at the sky high buildings right across from you and this is where the show was held. A catwalk and all with seats, water fountains and grass as green as central park's own. There were some really cool people there that (ummmmm how do I put this) are very important to the fashion indusrty in every aspect. So I was excited! One wierd thing happened though...there were these two women/men that seem to be real important socialites or something i really wanted to take a picture of them so yall could be just as shocked as I was (mouth dropping) but then I thought about it and was like HELL NO they might think im making a mockery out of them and I wasnt even bout to get my ass whipped by some man in a dress with a beard ... and yea one of them had a freaking beard!
